Purpose of Data Processing
The Meta Pixel enables Meta to identify visitors to our website as a target audience for the display of advertisements (so-called “Meta Ads” or “Facebook/Instagram Ads”). Accordingly, we use the Meta Pixel to display the Meta Ads placed by us only to users who have shown an interest in our online offering or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g. interests in specific topics or products determined on the basis of websites visited; so-called “Custom Audiences”).
Furthermore, the Meta Pixel enables us to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by allowing us to determine whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement (so-called “Conversion Tracking”).

Google Ads Tag & Conversion Tracking
Our website uses the Google Ads online advertising program as well as the associated Conversion Tracking service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
Purpose of Data Processing
We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to specifically measure and optimize the use and effectiveness of our advertisements. When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a tag or cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your device. If you subsequently visit certain pages of our website while the cookie is still valid, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the advertisement and were redirected to our website.
Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. The cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of different Google Ads customers. The information obtained is used to generate conversion statistics for us. We are informed of the total number of users who clicked on our advertisement and were redirected to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that allows us to personally identify individual users.
Data Collected and Storage Period
As part of Conversion Tracking, Google processes, among other things:
IP address
Online identifiers (e.g. cookie IDs, advertising IDs)
Click behavior relating to advertising elements and destination pages visited
Browser and device information as well as timestamps
Storage period: Cookies set for Conversion Tracking generally expire after 30 to 90 days.
Legal Basis
Google Ads Conversion Tracking is used exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent is provided via our cookie consent banner and may be freely withdrawn at any time.
Transfer to Third Countries
When using Google Ads, data may be transferred to servers operated by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
